| A Little About the Mount Charles Bands... |

The Mount Charles Band competes in the Championship Section at top level contests nationwide, they were South West Area Champions in 2004 and 2006, 7th at the National Finals in 2004 and are currently ranked 22nd in the world. They have appeared on television and radio several times, and represent Cornwall on a national level. For the history of the band click here. |

The Mount Charles Youth Band compete in many national and local events and are currently National Youth Champions for the second year, Music for Youth Champions and South West Area Youth Champions for the 11th consecutive year. They have played for royalty and were presented with a Special Good Citizenship award by the Mayor of the local borough in recognition of their high standards and outstanding contribution to the prestige of the town. There are over 90 people involved in the
organisation, all of whom give there time for free. Both bands
are fully commited to constantly improving standards and achieving
excellence. There is also a large commitment to educating
young players through the School
of Brass. This commitment to high standards pays off with
the success that both bands have achieved, but of course this
success comes at a price... |

Instrument maintainance, venue hire, coachs, hotels and employing professional conductors of the highest standards all costs money! One piece of music can cost anything from £30 to £70. Much of the cost is covered by the band members themselves, but to continue the high standards the band needs to fund raise. Of course we welcome all donations but there is now a new way of helping the bands... |

The Mount Charles Band website attracts on average 300 visitors per week, this rises substantially around the time of contests etc. (On average one contest per month.) Many of these visitors are from Cornwall but we also attract visitors from all over the country and even the world.
We are now offering the chance for you to advertise on this site, by doing so you will not only be benifiting your business by exposing it to many new potential customers, but you will also be supporting the development of the bands.

As well as an advert on the site you will be added to a new page on the website dedicated to the supporters of the band. Your ad can also be designed to your specification for free by our webmaster, or you can provide your own. It could link to a website or alternatively contain your phone number/address. |

Payment is by cheque and is payable quartely or annualy, once we have recieved your first payment and you are happy with the advert it will be uploaded to the site. |
