Generally spacious and well controlled opening, only small reservation. Nice atmospheric playing at 1 with well judges dynamics and sense of colour. Figs 2-3 was delivered with breath and authority, phrases growing logically: tone well rounded. The build to 4 was effectively managed. Here through the athletic sections there was a taught ness of rhythmic purpose – thoroughly committed playing, despite the occasional little fragility in individual tidiness and stability of control.

An effective solo quartet at 13. 16 begins well, if a little blemished as it progressed.

Musical intent evident throughout 17-19 despite a little unease on occasion – committed and expressive playing from all.

A little tightness in the sound in Trom solo at 20 but well conceived playing. The duet at 21 was well done with good interplay between cornet and euph. A little untidiness but generally well managed scherzo 22+

Effective shaping in the hymn sequence overall – small reservations over individual control. Committed playing in the final pair of solos at 31.

Commendable playing at the final build up and a well balanced sound at 37 to admire.

A strong finish to an enjoyable overall performance – Thank you
