1, Poise and accuracy - good, 1 or
2 issues in trombones - bass tuning into 30? Good sounds,
can the BBb bass have more time? Tempi set works and the
playing has merit. 90 problematic. 1 or 2 wild sounds
(Euphs) spoil the majesty of his fanfare despite the quality
of the overall sound.
2, Problems to open! Some individual
lines sparkle less than others - very nice ensemble passages
(15-16) and a good band sound at 30. I'd like
the marcato to be more so, and f and ff to be more different.
Strong to close
3, Attempt from the middle to hold
on to it are noted. In some cases it's a losing battle.
You're clearly a good band, please be more musical in the
inner passages - it gets wild, too much so into 110.
Good link into Andante - only mf at 144. Good dynamics
at Coma Prima noted. It's certainly exciting to close, although
178 doesn't come off - does it ever?

1, Good start from cornet, horn is
noted. 20-2 horns unclear, 30-2 intonation
wobble, careful pacing. A warm sounding band emerging. 90
problems in pitch to note, 100 pp worries occasionally.
140 some intonation worries once again. Overall albeit
some negativity some authoritative sound and shape to acknowledge,
look out for intonation always.
2, Opening worried and 2nd bar issues,
fine cornet voice impresses, recheck Flugel intonation.
20 intonation between soloists to check continuously.
Integrate the sound in ff more sonorously please. 40
3, V fine start overall, in control,
good pulse and ensemble secure. 60 Troms to negotiate
triplets as a team. 100 becoming over excited in
display. Transition well judged, Euph solo to stay sonorous
continually. 150-6 to re check soloists intonation,
como primo troms to convince please. 180 a little
problematic.
Overall a fine sounding band at it's best,
some goodcontrol at start of 3rd Movement, good transition,
fine cornet voice.
