Stacie started playing the cornet just before her 11th birthday and after 3 weeks joined the St Dennis Junior Band quickly progressing to the Youth and Senior Band.

She had lessons with Andrew Jay, later with Brian Minear and now Garry Lannie. Stacie has competed in many solo contests and there's hardly a trophy in Cornwall that doesn't bear her name.

She has played solo cornet with the Cornwall Youth Brass Band for a number of years and with the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain since September 2006. Stacie was also a guest player with the band of the Parachute Regiment in Colchester in 2005.

Stacie moved to the Mount Charles Senior Band in September 2008 and is thoroughly enjoying her banding.
