The Mount Charles Band organisation supports no less than three quality Brass Bands from complete beginners to a world class Senior Band. The organisation is based in St. Austell, Cornwall.

The organisation has evolved greatly over since 1984 when there was a major overhaul of the aims and objectives of the group.

The key theme since then has been to develop and enjoy music making throughout the groups and at the highest possible levels both in concerts and contests.

Since those were set the bands have grown from strength to strength, supporting and training numerous members from beginner to proficient and some onto professional musicians.

Working with many musicians from all over the world, the band have been lucky enough to learn from conductors such as Nicholas Childs, Russell Gray, Bryan Hurdley, Nigel Weeks, Dr Roy Newsome, Richard Evans, Peter Parkes and Bob Childs.

We are keen to continue to nurture the undoubted talent we have in Cornwall to continue to meet our aims and objectives, and will hope to do this by working with fine musicians and music trainers, as well as local teachers and experienced band members.
