Liskerret Male Voice Choir

Liskerret Male Voice Choir was formed in 1993, thanks to the then mayor of Liskeard Mr Norman Pampling a founder member and now president of the choir. Six gentleman came to the first meeting and that has grown to over 50. It is still the youngest choir in the county federation, as no male choir has been formed since.

The choir is very lucky to have a large number of young singers; this bodes them well for the future and there are surely exciting times ahead.

The choir is also very fortunate to have such a talented and enthusiastic musical director as Roy Wilton and together with their gifted and much respected accompanist Diane Beckett, they are taking the choir to new heights.

The choir is proud to represent Liskeard (Liskerret being the old name for Liskeard). They have performed numerous concerts for local charities, raising many hundreds of pounds and have also been on several tours. In September 2002, the choir had the honour of being the guest choir at the Cornish Gorsedd Concert at Pensilva.

The members not only enjoy their singing but also the friendliness and comradeship of their fellow members, backed by a strong and active Committee.
