Plethora of New Appointments!After a highly successful season culminating in three sell out Proms concerts to over 2,000 people at the Minack Theatre in Cornwall, Mount Charles are delighted to welcome several new players into the band.
Hannah Plumridge joins on assistant principal cornet from Roche Brass and the band are thrilled to welcome back Adam Gore to the front row cornets after a spell away in Scotland. Matt Dixon has joined on principal euphonium from Aldbourne Band which sees Jeremy Taylor move to Eb bass. Also in the bass section the band welcome back Nick Taylor on Bb bass alongside Louise Oliver on second trombone, both from Bodmin Band. Adding to the ever increasing percussion team, Tom Plumridge joins from Lympstone Band. Finally, Kate Waller steps up into the second horn seat and Owen Thomas joins on tuned percussion, both of whom have progressed from the youth band. Sam Baker also joins from Launceston Band on third cornet.
